On November 6th, the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) launched a Call for Contributions to gather input from society for its regulatory project on Artificial Intelligence and Data Protection. b/luz team is already preparing contributions, and you can also submit yours. The Call for Contributions will remain open until December 5th on the Participa+Brasil platform.
The Call for Contributions is an initiative of ANPD’s General Coordination of Standardization (CGN) and encompasses a total of 15 questions, organized into four distinct thematic blocks:
- Principles of the LGPD;
- Legal Bases;
- Rights of Data Subjects;
- Best Practices and Governance.
Through this Call for Contributions, ANPD seeks to outline an overview of the practices adopted by data processing agents, aiming to guide its regulatory activities in balancing free enterprise and technological development with the protection of data subjects’ rights.
According to the CGN, the Call for Contributions is an opportunity to collect input from various stakeholders, such as experts, private companies, and government agencies, who can assist in building an efficient and up-to-date national regulatory framework.
Finally, the information collected through the Call for Contributions may also help ANPD identify issues related to the use of Artificial Intelligence, such as algorithmic bias, system opacity, and limitations in addressing data subjects’ rights.
You can participate in the Call for Contributions through the Participa+Brasil platform or contact our team if you wish to provide any contributions.
