Renata is a partner at b/luz. From 2015 to 2023, she was a municipal public servant at the Londrina City Hall, where she also held the position of Director of Science and Technology. During her tenure as director, she gained practical experience that led to the development of a methodology that helps municipalities design and implement innovation laws. This methodology has already been applied in six states and more than twenty municipalities across Brazil.

She holds a postdoctoral and doctoral degree from the University of São Paulo (USP) Law School, with a focus on Data Protection Officers. Her research resulted in the book “Data Protection Officer: Regulation and Civil Liability”, published by Quartier Latin in 2022. She holds IAPP (CDPO/BR) certification to act as a data protection officer in Brazil and Maastricht University (ECBC-B) certification to work in the European Union.

Renata is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Electoral and Political Law (ABRADEP) and coordinated the book “LGPD x Electoral Campaign”, published by Thoth in 2022. Additionally, she has published several scientific articles in renowned journals such as the Consumer Law Journal, Tribunals Journal, and Civil Law Journal, as well as contributing chapters to academic books.

In the educational field, she is a Guest Professor in the Master’s Program in Business Law at the State University of Londrina (UEL) and also teaches in the Postgraduate Program in Business Law Applied to the Digital Era at UEL.
