The Brazilian General Data Protection Law, better known as LGPD, was enacted in August 2018, after about 8 years of debate. It will come into force only in August 2020, but the market is already preparing for its reception.
The Data Protection and Research and Development Teams came up with the present study in order to contribute with: the understanding of the development of personal data protection, explaining the main aspects of the LGPD, its relationship with the European legislation (GDPR) and also the changes made by the newly published Provisional Measure.
