Renata is a partner at b/luz, responsible for the firm’s Public Sector (GovTech) practice. From 2015 to 2023, she served as a municipal public official in Londrina, where she held the position of Director of Science and Technology at the Londrina Development Institute (CODEL). During this period, she developed the methodology that helps municipalities structure and implement their innovation laws, currently adopted, through the SEBRAE network, in thirty-seven municipalities across seven Brazilian states.

She holds a PhD and a post-doctorate from the University of São Paulo Law School (USP), with a focus on the Data Protection Officer. Her research resulted in the book “Encarregado de Proteção de Dados Pessoais: Regulamentação e Responsabilidade Civil” (Quartier Latin, 2022). In 2022, she was one of the specialists selected by the Brazilian National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) to contribute to the regulation of the data protection officer role. She holds IAPP certifications (CIPM and CDPO/BR) to work in privacy and data protection, and a Maastricht University certification (ECPC-B) to work in the European Union.

Renata coordinated a collective work on the LGPD and electoral campaigns, published by Thoth, and has articles published in journals such as Revista de Direito do Consumidor, Revista dos Tribunais, and Revista de Direito Civil, in addition to chapters in academic books. She is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Electoral and Political Law (ABRADEP).

In education, she is a Guest Professor in the Master’s Program in Business Law and in the Graduate Program in Business Law Applied to the Digital Age, both at the State University of Londrina (UEL).
